The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Menards, located in-person within its growing retail store operations. Menards is a large and expanding retail organization focused on providing home improvement and other products to its customers. This Management Internship plays a crucial role in building the future leadership of the company by providing an immediate, paid, and hands-on training program designed to develop and prepare individuals for an exciting and rewarding career in retail management.

• Team: Reports to and collaborates with the General Management team, Department Managers, and Store Team Members for guidance and development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Participation: Actively engage in a structured 12-week Management Internship program, focusing on hands-on training and development specific to the retail management sector.
• Business Acumen Development: Work collaboratively with the General Management team, Department Managers, and fellow Store Team Members to develop a comprehensive understanding of the Menards business model and operational practices.
• Skill Enhancement: Systematically develop and strengthen key professional competencies, including organizational skills, effective communication techniques, and efficient time management strategies, essential for a management role.
• Practical Management Experience: Gain valuable, direct hands-on management experience through daily tasks and responsibilities within a busy retail environment.
• Career Pathway Preparation: Undertake specific training and mentorship aimed at preparing for and transitioning into a permanent management role within Menards in the near future.
