Maintenance Technician | Landings Real Estate Group

This is a full-time role at Landings Real Estate Group, located in South Kingstown, RI. This hands-on, trade-heavy role is vital for keeping apartment communities running at their best, ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of residents through skilled maintenance work. • Team: Reports to a supervisor and collaborates with a solid team of technicians.
• Mission: This person ensures the optimal operation and appearance of apartment communities by executing a wide range of maintenance tasks, repairs, and preventative care.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Unit Preparation: Prepare vacant units for new residents by performing apartment turnover work, including painting, cleaning, and handling maintenance punch items.
• Resident Support: Complete resident work orders promptly and correctly, addressing issues across various systems typically within 24 hours.
• System Repair: Diagnose and repair issues across essential building systems, including electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.
• Preventative Care: Execute preventative maintenance on various building systems such as plumbing, heating, cooling, and mechanical equipment to ensure their longevity and efficiency.
• Property Upkeep: Maintain daily curb appeal through tasks like trash removal, sprinkler inspections, weed control, and ensuring common spaces, dumpsters, clubhouse, and office areas are clean and presentable.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with foundational knowledge in general carpentry, repair techniques, and building systems.
• Experience: Bring 2+ years of hands-on experience in multi-family maintenance, general construction, or a specific trade such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or carpentry. A valid driver’s license or reliable transportation is required.
• Skills: Demonstrate comfort and proficiency in using both hand and power tools, coupled with a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, energy, and a solid customer service orientation with effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Bonus: Completion of trade schooling is a plus.
