Maintenance Technician | Landings Real Estate Group

• Mission: To ensure apartment communities operate at their best by performing essential maintenance, repairs, and preventative care for all units and common areas.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Apartment Preparation: Efficiently prepare vacant units for new residents by completing painting, cleaning, and necessary maintenance tasks.
• System Diagnostics & Repair: Swiftly diagnose and resolve issues across electrical, plumbing, appliance, and HVAC systems within resident units.
• Preventative Maintenance: Proactively execute preventative maintenance on building systems, including heating, cooling, plumbing, and mechanical equipment, to ensure longevity and avoid breakdowns.
• Property Upkeep: Maintain the daily curb appeal and cleanliness of common areas, including trash removal, landscaping, and keeping dumpster areas, clubhouses, and office spaces presentable.
• Emergency Response: Provide timely responses to emergency maintenance calls during evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule, and assist with snow removal as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Technician level. High school diploma or equivalent is required, combined with knowledge of general carpentry, repair, and building systems.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in multi-family maintenance, construction, or a specific trade such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or carpentry.
• Skills: Proficiency in using hand and power tools; strong customer service orientation and solid interpersonal skills; ability to read and follow instructions and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Bonus: Completion of trade schooling.
