About the Job

Amentum is actively seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join our dedicated operations & maintenance team in Waukesha, WI. This crucial role is responsible for the precise coordination of work planning and scheduling for various services and equipment within our client’s facilities.

You will work closely with the Amentum team, vendors, clients, and management to ensure seamless work planning and scheduling. Your primary focus will be to collaborate with our operations and maintenance management team to develop and execute scheduled maintenance activities and processes. This includes pre-evaluating the need for replacement parts, placing orders, and proactively developing backup plans to mitigate the impact of potential interruptions on the facility’s overall functionality or production schedule.

Typical Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
• Various hours may be required based on business demand, including overtime, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional and customer-oriented relationships with team members, internal and external customers and service providers, and building occupants.
• Act as a liaison between the maintenance department and operations.
• Identify parts, materials, special tools, external services, and documentation for maintenance planning and scheduling projects.
• Inputting and editing data within the CMMS software program.
• Maintain files and be responsible for records retention associated with data entry.
• Schedule all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance work orders.
• Review reactive work order data for completion and accuracy.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as requested.
• Support the Amentum safety program.
• Participate in documenting and tracking Root Cause Analysis documentation timelines.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university OR a combination of education and experience in a maintenance-related field.

Additional Information

• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
• This position may require a valid Driver’s License.
• This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
• This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
• This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.

Physical Requirements

• Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
• Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday.
• Requires ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.
• Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access databases, send/receive messages, and prepare documents.
• Requires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other Amentum, customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations.
• Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings, and presentations.
• Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.
• Requires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets, and other storage locations.
• Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.

Special Requirements

• Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
• Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in a CMMS, such as Maximo, SAP, or an equivalent program.
• Preventive and/or Predictive maintenance planning experience.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience in creating presentations.

Other Attributes

• Must be willing to work overtime when required.
• May be required to work holidays and weekends.

Compensation Details

$29-$30 per hour
