The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Opus East Memphis, an award-winning senior living community in Memphis, TN, managed by The Arbor Company. The Arbor Company, a leader in senior care for over 30 years, manages more than 40 senior living communities across ten states, specializing in independent living, assisted living, and memory care. This Maintenance Director role is vital for overseeing the entire physical infrastructure, safety programs, and preventative maintenance, ensuring a luxurious and active lifestyle for residents. The position makes a direct impact by maintaining a safe, beautiful, and functional environment for seniors and their families.

• Team: Reports to community leadership as a valued member, directly supervises Maintenance and Housekeeping employees.
• Mission: Lead and oversee the overall physical buildings and property, safety program, preventative maintenance plan, and building repairs for the senior living community.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Oversee: Provide leadership and oversight for the overall physical buildings and property of the community.
• Manage: Develop, implement, and maintain the community’s safety program and preventative maintenance plan.
• Coordinate: Lead and manage all building repair initiatives and projects.
• Supervise: Directly supervise, motivate, and encourage employees within the Maintenance department.
• Guide: Directly supervise, motivate, and encourage employees within the Housekeeping department.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Director-level professional with expertise in property management, physical building oversight, safety program development, and preventative maintenance.
• Experience: Proven leadership experience in overseeing maintenance and housekeeping operations, coupled with demonstrated ability to manage diverse tasks and priorities.
• Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong organizational skills, time management proficiency, and effective written and verbal communication.
• Bonus: Prior experience with electrical, HVAC, or plumbing systems.
