M&A Associate 1 | Snow

The Tone:
This is an entry-to-mid-level position at Snow, a company focused on critical M&A transactions. We are seeking a professional ready to take on significant ownership in deal execution within our M&A team. This role is crucial for supporting the complete transaction lifecycle, from initial target identification and financial modeling through to intricate due diligence and post-merger integration planning. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth progression of complex deals by working alongside senior team members and managing key aspects of each transaction.

• Mission: Responsible for supporting the full transaction lifecycle and taking ownership of deal execution.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Build Financial Models: Construct and maintain advanced financial models, including project finance, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Leveraged Buyout (LBO), and various sensitivity and scenario analyses, to thoroughly support transaction evaluation and diligent analysis.
• Prepare Transaction Documentation: Develop and draft essential documents such as investment committee memos, comprehensive board presentations, and concise management summaries for key stakeholders.
• Manage Due Diligence: Coordinate and actively manage multiple due diligence workstreams, encompassing financial, commercial, legal, and operational aspects, collaborating effectively with both internal teams and external expert advisors.
• Conduct Deal Research: Execute in-depth industry, competitive landscape, and company-specific research to inform and validate deal theses and strategic rationale.
• Track Deal Pipeline: Monitor and update the status of the deal pipeline while accurately maintaining internal deal databases and CRM systems to ensure organized tracking of all active and potential transactions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This entry-to-mid-level position is ideal for a professional who possesses a solid foundational background in investment banking, transaction advisory services, or corporate finance principles.
• Experience: Candidates must demonstrate at least 3 years of direct, relevant experience specifically within M&A or Project Finance, gained while working at an investment bank or a transaction advisory firm.
• Skills: Possess strong capabilities in financial modeling and valuation techniques; exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills; and demonstrate a keen attention to detail along with the ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent workstreams under demanding deadlines.
