Associate, Mergers & Acquisitions | Kroll
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Kroll. Kroll is a global leader in risk and financial advisory solutions, blending trusted expertise with cutting-edge technology to navigate and redefine industry complexities with a nearly century-long legacy. This Associate position plays a central role in the execution of predominantly sell-side transactions for middle-market clients, typically ranging from $50M–$350M in enterprise value. Your work will help deliver clarity to our clients’ most complex M&A challenges.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Analysis: Analyze and present financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise, and relevant manner to assist and guide decision-makers in M&A transactions.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of client deliverables by maintaining a strong attention to detail.
• Team Development: Collaborate with, mentor, and develop junior staff, particularly analysts.
• Market Research: Conduct industry research to understand clients’ businesses and their operating environments, identifying key trends that may affect them and their respective M&A processes.
• Project Management: Manage a wide variety of assigned projects, taking on responsibility commensurate with experience and capabilities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: MBA with a minimum of 1 year prior experience in investment banking, or a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience at a reputable boutique or regional investment bank, both with demonstrable M&A execution experience.
• Experience: At least 1-4 years of prior experience in investment banking or M&A execution, including managing day-to-day aspects of client relationships and projects.
• Skills: Current FINRA Series 79 & 63 certifications (no exceptions), proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, strong ability to make effective decisions by analyzing information and considering priorities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Strong interest in the financial services industry, experience in thought leadership and idea generation that helps represent diverse communities, and the ability to travel a minimum of 25% of the time on a regular basis.
