The Litigation Paralegal position is instrumental in the daily operations, offering essential administrative and litigation support that directly empowers attorneys to manage their caseloads effectively and contribute to the firm’s overall success in defending cases within the insurance sector.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Administrative Support: Deliver comprehensive administrative assistance to attorneys, managing day-to-day office needs to maintain operational efficiency. This includes handling correspondence, managing office supplies, and ensuring smooth communication flow within the legal team.
• Litigation Support: Provide specialized support for litigation processes, assisting attorneys with various aspects of preparing for trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings. This involves organizing discovery, managing exhibits, and supporting trial preparation efforts.
• Scheduling Management: Take charge of all scheduling requirements for attorneys, coordinating meetings, court appearances, depositions, and internal firm events to optimize their professional calendars. This ensures attorneys are prepared and timely for all engagements.
• File Management: Systematically organize and maintain all legal files, both physical and electronic, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible to attorneys. This includes proper indexing, archiving, and retrieval of sensitive legal documents.
• Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and finalize a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other relevant legal instruments, ensuring accuracy, proper formatting, and compliance with legal standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A solid foundation and understanding of legal support principles and practices within a defense litigation environment, with a specific emphasis on insurance defense.
• Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of dedicated experience providing legal support in a professional legal setting, preferably within a litigation-focused firm.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in administrative support, litigation support, meticulous scheduling, efficient file management, and accurate document preparation. These skills are crucial for managing attorney workloads and maintaining case integrity.
