Litigation Counsel | LUNARTECH

The Tone:
This is a program-based, part-time remote role at LUNARTECH, a frontier deep-tech company specializing in artificial intelligence for education, healthcare, aerospace, and other high-impact sectors. LUNARTECH builds cutting-edge AI solutions, including its proprietary Phoenix platform and the emerging LegalAI Rosendahl. This role is crucial for shaping the legal intelligence layer within LUNARTECH’s software systems, ensuring strong legal strategy, clear risk analysis, and disciplined execution across all disputes and legal proceedings. The successful candidate will serve as a critical verifier of the legal analysis and strategy produced by the company’s advanced systems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Legal AI Design: Co-design LegalAI Rosendahl, including legal software rules, workflows, review logic, and decision frameworks with the product and AI teams.
• Output Verification: Verify whether legal outputs produced by internal systems are accurate, strategically sound, and legally defensible.
• Strategy Development: Develop litigation strategy across disputes, claims, investigations, and pre-litigation matters.
• Legal Translation: Conduct legal research and translate complex legal issues into practical recommendations for both legal work and software design.
• Document Drafting: Draft and review pleadings, motions, demand letters, legal memos, and supporting documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Legal education, legal training, or strong demonstrated interest in litigation and dispute resolution; Early Career.
• Experience: Familiarity with litigation processes, pleadings, discovery, motions, evidence, and procedural rules.
• Skills: Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and documentation skills; ability to draft clear legal memos, case summaries, timelines, and structured arguments; strong judgment, discretion, confidentiality, and attention to detail; ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly to both legal and non-legal stakeholders; high ownership to structure ambiguous legal issues into actionable plans.
• Bonus: Experience with technology law, legal operations, legal tech, intellectual property, employment disputes, corporate disputes, AI policy, or cross-border legal matters.
