Job Title: Life Sciences Industry Principal
Department/Team: Global Industry Go-to-Market team (Healthcare & Life Sciences)
Reporting to: Global Industry Go-to-Market Head of Healthcare & Life Sciences
Job Overview:
This role requires a subject matter expert from the life sciences industry to serve in both internal strategy and external customer-facing capacities. The successful candidate will work closely with Snowflake’s field sales teams and customer executives to drive new business within the life sciences sector. This individual will act as a visionary and innovator, leveraging their expertise in data, analytics, and AI to build and implement enterprise solution go-to-market strategies. The position demands a proven track record of success in developing and overseeing such strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Account Strategy & Relationship Building: Develop account strategies for Snowflake’s most strategic life sciences accounts, fostering trusted relationships with C-level executives and presenting Snowflake’s industry vision.
• Content Creation: Develop customer-facing industry content to support presentations and sales efforts.
• Ecosystem Development: Build strategic relationships within the life sciences ecosystem, including customers, partners, and data providers.
• Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with industry architect and marketing teams to develop and implement a cohesive industry go-to-market strategy.
• Internal Enablement: Strengthen the life sciences industry’s enablement strategy within Snowflake, including leading “industry communities of practice.”
• Product Roadmap Influence: Partner with industry architect teams to prioritize and deliver industry-specific capabilities in future product roadmaps, driving Snowflake’s product vision into the market.
• Marketing & Awareness: Collaborate with marketing teams to increase industry awareness and pipeline development through thought leadership presentations at conferences and trade shows.
• Sales Enablement: Oversee account prioritization, solution and sales play creation to educate and enable sales, sales engineers, pre-sales, and customer success teams.
• Partner Ecosystem: Collaborate with partner and alliance teams to identify, recruit, and enable industry-specific system integrators and ISV partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 15+ years of experience in the life sciences industry (consulting or direct industry experience).
• Leadership experience in driving programs related to data, analytics, and AI.
• Proven ability to lead change and influence corporate strategy, with comfort operating in C-level business environments and quickly establishing credibility with senior leadership.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Undergraduate degree; advanced degree preferred.
• Willingness to travel.
Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated base salary range is $222,000 – $316,800, along with participation in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan. A competitive benefits package is also included, encompassing medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending and health savings accounts; paid time off; and other company benefits.
