The Tone:
This is a hybrid internship role at KGAY PSP, located in Palm Springs, CA, with opportunities for some remote work. KGAY PSP is a Public Benefit Corporation specializing in broadcast media through KGAY FM 103.1 and Sunny 106.5 FM, complemented by its companion website and digital media company, Gay Desert Guide.LGBT. This role is vital for creating and managing compelling LGBTQ-centered content across various platforms, directly contributing to the company’s mission to inspire, entertain, and inform through thoughtfully curated programming and innovative media outreach.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Content Creation: Create engaging LGBTQ-centered content for social media, websites, and radio.
• Content Strategy: Brainstorm and execute content strategies for diverse platforms.
• Research & Interviews: Conduct interviews and research relevant LGBTQ topics.
• Digital Campaign Support: Assist with digital campaigns and promotional events.
• Content Management: Manage LGBTQ-centered content across various digital and broadcast platforms.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student, with knowledge of LGBTQ topics, cultural trends, and community needs.
• Experience: Proficient in content creation and storytelling; experienced in social media management and content planning.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Bonus: Basic skills in graphic design, video editing, or media production; familiarity with the Palm Springs LGBTQ community.
