Legal Support Specialist | TeleSolv Consulting
The Tone:
This is a role with TeleSolv Consulting, located in Washington, DC, offering an immediate opportunity to work with the Federal Government. TeleSolv Consulting is a growing organization that provides professional and administrative services to public and private organizations. This position as a Legal Technician is critical to supporting the USSS HQ in the Global Investigations Operation Center (GIOC), where it helps ensure the integrity and accuracy of legal forfeiture processes. The work involves a more experienced skillset, directly contributing to federal legal proceedings and case strategies.

• Team: Part of a team supporting the Global Investigations Operation Center, reporting to a Lead Legal Technician.
• Mission: Inform case strategies and legal proceedings by conducting thorough research and drafting legal documents related to Federal forfeiture statutes.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
What You’ll Actually Do
• Research & Compliance: Conduct thorough research and stay updated on Federal forfeiture statutes and USSS administrative forfeiture authority to inform case strategies and legal proceedings.
• Document Drafting: Draft, prepare, and revise various legal documents including subpoenas, probable cause statements, and other relevant filings.
• Document Review & Finalization: Review, edit, and finalize Probable Cause Statements for submission, ensuring legal sufficiency and accuracy.
• Information Gathering: Communicate with case agents and Attorneys to gather necessary case information for the preparation of probable cause statements.
• Data Management: Enter and extract data from seizure files and government databases as required while preparing legal documents, maintaining meticulous records to support casework.
The Must-Haves
• Background: U.S. Citizen with a J.D. from an accredited law school, or a Paralegal certification with an undergraduate degree from a four-year accredited university or college.
• Experience: Active Public Trust Tier 4a Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain. This position requires a more experienced skillset than other internal roles.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), effective oral and written communication, and the ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data.
