Job Description:
This is a part-time, paid Legal Intern position with the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform (ILR) in Washington, DC. The internship is scheduled from Monday, September 15th through Friday, November 21st, 2025, with a commitment of up to 20 hours per week. The internship is a hybrid role, requiring interns to be in the office at U.S. Chamber of Commerce HQ at least two days per week. Fully remote applications will not be considered. Compensation is $20.00 per hour. Academic credit may be available based on school criteria.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct specific issue-related research.
• Write analytical memos.
• Participate in ILR member task-force calls, meetings, and events.
• Attend/watch and report on Congressional hearings & events.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a Juris Doctorate degree.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a changing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and follow-up skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
