What You’ll Actually Do
• Contract Workflow: Document existing contract management workflows in preparation for the implementation of the new Origami contract workflow platform.
• AI Development: Support artificial intelligence learning initiatives by identifying construction-related risks within contracts and contributing to the development of AI training datasets.
• Risk Management: Learn and assist with comprehensive construction contract risk assessment and the development of effective risk mitigation strategies.
• Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and assist legal team members and internal clients in understanding complex contract terms, conditions, clauses, schedules, and any unusual project requirements.
• Legal Support: Accompany attorneys to various legal proceedings such as mediations, depositions, and hearings, and communicate professionally with internal and external clients to gather necessary information.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Completion of 2L year towards a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, with required Contracts coursework completed.
• Experience: Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and eligibility to work 40 hours or more per week during the summer.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented, team-focused mindset.
