• Mission: Own the firm-wide calendar, track court settings and filing deadlines, and prepare and file Notices of Hearing.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Calendar Oversight: You will be the primary owner and administrator of the firm’s comprehensive legal calendar, diligently managing all scheduling for both the family law and personal injury dockets. This involves accurately recording and updating all court dates, appointments, and internal meetings relevant to case progression, ensuring that the entire legal team has a clear and current view of upcoming events.
• Deadline Compliance: Systematically track and meticulously monitor all critical court settings, including hearings, depositions, and trials, as well as all statutory and court-imposed filing deadlines. Your proactive management will ensure that no deadline is missed, supporting the firm’s commitment to procedural excellence and client advocacy.
• Notice Preparation: Prepare precise and legally compliant Notices of Hearing, ensuring all essential details such as case information, dates, times, and courtrooms are accurately documented. This task requires a keen eye for detail to prevent errors in formal court communications.
• Court Filing & Procedures: Facilitate the accurate and timely filing of prepared Notices of Hearing with the appropriate courts. This will involve mastering court e-filing systems and adhering strictly to established Texas court procedures, for which comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success in this vital function.
