Leadership Development Program – Lakeland – Summer 2027 | GEICO

The Tone:
This is an early career Leadership Development Program role at GEICO, located in Lakeland, Florida. The TL;DR

• Type: Hybrid (80% in-office, 20% remote after training, with an option for up to four additional weeks remote annually)

• Team: Sales, Claims, and Service teams

What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate: Engage in a structured leadership program with comprehensive training on insurance fundamentals, business operations, and team management.
• Collaborate: Work closely with mentors and leaders to guide professional growth and development.
• Manage: Gain practical experience leading teams, driving results, and solving real-world business challenges.
• Develop: Enhance your ability to motivate and inspire a team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and accountability.
• Analyze: Learn to interpret business metrics and implement strategies that support organizational goals.

The Must-Haves
• Background: College graduates with a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree. Entry-level. Focus on developing leadership potential for a career in management.
• Experience: At least 6 months of leadership experience in roles such as leading academic projects, participating in volunteer or philanthropic initiatives, serving in athletics or extracurricular activities, managing capstone projects or research, acting as a shift supervisor, or completing leadership-focused coursework.
• Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, adaptability, a proactive approach to problem solving, and a passion for motivating and inspiring others.
• Bonus: Eagerness to learn and a desire to grow into a leadership role within the insurance industry.
