Leadership Development Professional – Manufacturing | Sazerac Company

The Tone:
This is an early career, 2-year leadership development program at Sazerac Company, designed to provide participants with significant exposure across various areas within a manufacturing environment. The program offers leadership development experiences specifically tailored to meet business needs and capitalize on available opportunities. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the industry, equipping them with the essential skills required to effectively lead teams and drive positive change within the organization.

The TL;DR

• Type: Full-time
• Location: In-person, New Albany, IN
• Mission: Provide comprehensive exposure to manufacturing operations and cultivate leadership skills essential for leading teams and driving organizational change.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Capability Development: Gain valuable practical experience within a manufacturing environment while actively developing essential leadership capabilities, enhancing technical knowledge, fostering keen business acumen, and sharpening critical problem-solving skills.
• Performance Improvement: Proactively identify areas ripe for enhancement and significantly drive overall performance by meticulously implementing well-considered ideas and practical solutions to specific challenges encountered within that operational area.
• Continuous Contribution: Thoroughly analyze pertinent information and actively contribute to crucial continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring processes and outcomes are consistently optimized.
• Skill Application: Consistently apply refined problem-solving, astute analytical, clear communication, and robust leadership skills to effectively navigate and resolve real-world business challenges encountered throughout the program.
• Operational Immersion: Experience and adapt to different operational shifts, specifically encompassing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, and immerse oneself in diverse working environments, including both union and non-union facilities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An entry-level professional who is on track to complete a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline, with an expected graduation timeframe between May 2027 and August 2027, making them eligible for this foundational leadership program.
• Requirements: Must demonstrate academic excellence with a GPA of 3.0 or above, and possess the flexibility and readiness to relocate as needed to fully participate in various program rotations and assignments.
• Core Skills: Exhibits a strong sense of self-motivation, a robust work ethic, a solution-oriented mindset, and a genuine eagerness for active learning, coupled with the ability to be a collaborative team player, possess effective communication skills, and demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence.
• Bonus: Candidates will be highly regarded if they possess prior professional experience within the Alcohol Beverage Industry or the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector, or if they have relevant practical experience such as a prior internship or co-op program.
