The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person, various locations
• Team: Reports directly to the immediate department Supervisor, with additional oversight from the Vice President of Branch Sales and Service.
• Mission: To cultivate future leaders with comprehensive operational and service expertise, enabling them to effectively contribute to member financial well-being and the credit union’s strategic objectives through a structured rotational program.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Knowledge Acquisition & Application: Systematically observe and learn from experienced staff members, acquiring in-depth knowledge of critical policies, intricate procedures, established methods, and performance standards across diverse credit union departments and branch operations.
• Performance & Goal Attainment: Actively contribute to and successfully achieve specific performance goals and targets that are established by each individual department or branch during the duration of every assigned rotation.
• Leadership & Skill Advancement: Continuously demonstrate and proactively develop leadership skills, while simultaneously expanding knowledge and expertise gained directly from the practical experiences within each distinct rotational assignment.
• Member Relationship Building: Strategically build and cultivate robust banking relationships with credit union members, thoughtfully identifying and effectively offering suitable financial products and services to meet their needs.
• Consumer Loan Origination: Efficiently originate and process consumer loans for members, ensuring all transactions are accurately completed within established approval limits and adhering to all regulatory guidelines.
• Service Excellence Assurance: Maintain and guarantee that all members consistently receive the highest quality of service, characterized by efficiency, friendliness, and professionalism, reflecting the credit union’s people-first commitment.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This role is ideal for individuals aspiring to management, requiring a high school diploma or equivalent. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position, along with compliance with all job-related State and federal laws and regulations.
• Experience: A minimum of one year of supervisory experience is essential, specifically including experience leading a team to achieve customer service and sales goals. Candidates must either possess existing proficiency or be able to quickly gain expertise in all specific programs and systems utilized for the job’s responsibilities. The ability to adapt to change as the rotation dictates is also required.
• Skills: Essential skills include excellent oral and written communication for effective interaction, strong problem-solving capabilities to address member and operational challenges, and superior organizational skills to manage diverse responsibilities. The capacity to work independently is crucial. Additionally, candidates must have or attain National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration.
• Bonus: A college degree or actively working towards a degree is preferred.
