What You’ll Actually Do
• Legal Analysis: Perform various tasks for the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) that require thorough legal analysis and sound judgment.
• Information Development: Develop comprehensive information for each assignment by conducting document searches and engaging in personal conversations with program officials and other relevant stakeholders.
• Correspondence Preparation: Prepare draft replies for congressional inquiries, and other official correspondence directed to other agencies or GSA officials.
• Legal Sufficiency Review: Review correspondence and other documents prepared by program personnel from various services or staff offices, ensuring their legal sufficiency and compliance.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level attorney possessing a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a school of law accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) at the time of graduation.
• Experience: Successful completion of a full course of study from an ABA-accredited law school, demonstrating the foundational knowledge required for legal analysis and judgment.
• Skills: Strong capabilities in legal analysis, sound legal judgment, effective information gathering, clear and concise correspondence drafting, and meticulous review for legal sufficiency.
