What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Data Management: Assist with the comprehensive intake, detailed analysis, and production of data within a large, multi-plaintiff legal case.
• Legal Research and Preparation: Conduct thorough legal research relevant to ongoing trials and actively assist attorneys in the preparation of motions, further legal research, and critical deposition materials.
• Workflow Supervision: Support the project management team by overseeing multiple workflows integral to the case, providing essential on-site leadership and mentorship to the co-located team of law clerks and paralegals.
• On-Site Documentation Oversight: Manage and maintain internal on-site management documents, specifically including the data catalog and task tracker, to support the Project Management team in the continuous operation of the case.
• Task Ownership and Decision-Making: Take proactive ownership of incoming tasks and exercise independent judgment to make necessary decisions, ensuring the continuous and efficient progression of the legal case.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Law Clerk II with core domain knowledge in eDiscovery and legal research and writing.
• Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in eDiscovery and legal research and writing; demonstrated ability to lead a team of law clerks as “first among equals” in support of major litigation.
• Skills: Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Teams, and Word; proficiency with Relativity or Relativity One, including creating saved searches and reviewing/tagging documents; working knowledge of law related to electronic discovery; proficiency with legal research tools.
• Bonus: Demonstrated “power user” proficiency with Relativity and electronic discovery applications, including comfort with structured analytics terminology; demonstrated ability to lead a team of law clerks in litigation support and to work directly with project managers in meeting team needs.
