What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Researches relevant case law and statutory precedent to assist in developing solid legal arguments.
• Analysis: Analyzes legal documents and briefs, ensuring accurate statement and depiction of facts, case law, and precedent provided, reporting any inconsistencies or suggested revisions.
• Document Preparation: Prepares, files, and delivers a variety of legal documents including affidavits, petitions, pleadings, and other court papers.
• Meeting Assistance: Attends and assists with negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and other meetings as required.
• Communication & Evidence: Communicates with clients and their families when necessary to facilitate positive working relationships and maintains exhibits for court appearances.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current enrollment as a second or third-year law student.
• Experience: No specific prior experience required, but candidates will gain practical legal experience relevant to personal injury law.
• Skills: Possesses exceptional research and writing skills, alongside an impeccable command of English grammar and spelling.
• Bonus: An ambitious self-starter who demonstrates initiative to achieve team goals, and submits a writing sample(s) and resume for full consideration.
