The Tone:
This is a full-time trainee position within AIT Worldwide Logistics, involving significant travel and potential relocation across the U.S. and internationally. AIT is a global freight forwarder that helps companies expand market access worldwide by managing supply chain solutions. This role is crucial for recent graduates seeking to develop a comprehensive understanding of global logistics operations and sales through a structured two-year program. You will contribute to efficient customer solutions and grow into a permanent role within the company.

• Tech Stack: Transportation Management System (TMS), CargoWise

What You’ll Actually Do
• Coordinate Cargo Bookings: Assist in securing cargo space with carriers (air, ocean, road) and selecting efficient, cost-effective routing options.
• Process Shipping Documents: Prepare and manage essential shipping documents within the Transportation Management System (TMS) for smooth customs clearance.
• Track and Communicate Shipments: Monitor cargo progress from origin to destination, updating records and informing customers and internal teams.
• Support Customer Inquiries: Engage directly with clients to address questions and contribute to overall customer satisfaction.
• Develop Core Logistics Skills: Actively learn from mentors to build critical skills in time management, problem-solving, and communication.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Business Operations, or a similar field.
• Experience: Preference for 1+ years in extracurricular activities demonstrating strong team or leadership skills.
• Skills: Accuracy in data entry and documentation, ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize, strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills, and the capacity to obtain CargoWise Certified Operator certification within one year.
• Bonus: Minimum 3.0 GPA. Preferred willingness to relocate to other U.S. stations for accelerated career advancement.
