• Position Purpose: This is a temporary, non-exempt position designed to support Key Capture Energy’s (KCE) legal land operations. The intern will be crucial in maintaining up-to-date data, coordinating with the company’s title service, and facilitating the various stages of the land acquisition process. This role is particularly suitable for law students or individuals enrolled in paralegal study programs. The successful candidate must either possess a notary license or be willing to be sponsored for one by KCE. The expected work commitment is approximately 8-10 hours per week.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and send land document execution packages.
• Receive and scan partially executed documents for review and approval by the legal team.
• Facilitate the countersignature and notarization of documents by KCE.
• Prepare and send documents for official recordation.
• Send fully executed document packages to all relevant counterparties.
• Scan and upload documents to the appropriate digital folders.
• File hard copies of documents and maintain an organized physical filing system.
• Regularly update the Land spreadsheet to ensure data accuracy.
• Perform any other duties as required to support land operations.
• Work Experience & Requirements:
• Must currently possess a notary license or be willing to obtain one (sponsorship available).
• Must be pursuing a legal degree or be a current paralegal student.
• Must be able to come into the office for a minimum of 6 hours once a week, specifically between Monday and Thursday.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
• Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
