Internship Opportunity: Laboratory-Focused STEM Field at DCS

DCS is offering an exciting internship opportunity for a highly motivated individual eager to pursue a career in a laboratory-focused STEM field. This position is based in Warren, Mi, and will provide crucial support for ongoing testing and development initiatives.

Our dynamic team is dedicated to innovating next-generation testing methodologies for full vehicles, subsystems, and component levels. DCS’s involvement in testing development is extensive, offering interns the chance to engage in various aspects related to the durability of systems.

Essential Job Functions

  • Aid in the comprehensive process of durability test planning, setup, and execution.
  • Accurately record data, capture photographs, and meticulously update Test Incident Reports.
  • Perform essential maintenance tasks, including but not limited to pre- and post-test preparations, regular lab preventive maintenance, and other necessary duties.
  • Engage in the critical tasks of rigging and instrumentation of test assets.
  • Contribute to innovation by developing entry-level tools and applications.
  • Compile and organize data effectively for final test reports.

Required Skills

  • Must successfully pass a National Agency Background Check.
  • Must have at least acceptance into a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree program at an accredited institution in a STEM-related discipline.
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in hands-on working environments.
  • Possess the ability to collaborate effectively in team-oriented environments.
  • Be a highly motivated problem solver, eager to tackle challenges.
