Job Description:

Vedder Price is seeking 2L students for full-time 2026 Labor & Employment Summer Associate positions in their Los Angeles office.

Key aspects of the program:

Focused Practice Area: Allows students with a demonstrated interest in Labor & Employment law to specialize and receive focused training.
In-Depth Training: Provides an invaluable amount of in-depth training within the specific practice area.
Rapid Integration: Summer associates are quickly integrated into the firm through substantive work assignments, observation opportunities, and training sessions.
Substantive Work: Summer associates can expect to engage in meaningful legal work.
Observation Opportunities: Chances to observe experienced attorneys in action.
Training Sessions: Structured training programs to enhance legal skills.

Requirements:

Applicants must submit the following for consideration:

Resume
Unofficial First-Year Law School Transcript: If second semester grades are unavailable, submit first semester grades and an updated transcript later.
Writing Sample: A legal writing sample that demonstrates legal writing skills (e.g., from a class or internship).
Cover Letter: Expressing interest in the Labor & Employment practice area *and• the Los Angeles location. A geographic tie to the Los Angeles office is preferred.

Compensation:

$225,000 annual (presumably pro-rated for the summer).
