2027 University New Hire-Lubricants | Phillips 66

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Phillips 66, located in Houston, TX. Phillips 66 is one of the largest finished lubricants suppliers in the U.S., manufacturing and marketing high-quality base oils and sophisticated formulations across automotive, trucking, agriculture, aviation, and other key markets. This role is designed for university new hires to make a smooth transition into the professional world through a premier development program. What You’ll Actually Do
• Immerse: Engage in a brief but dynamic immersion program to understand the Phillips 66 energy value chain.
• Learn: Acquire knowledge and skills through asset tours, case studies, discussions with subject matter experts, and focused analysis assignments.
• Impact: Contribute to the business directly through a first assignment in the Lubricants organization in Houston, gaining professional and market acumen.
• Network: Build relationships, receive career coaching, and gain exposure to senior leadership team members and key management throughout the company.
• Develop: Gain transferable skills applicable across Marketing, Lubricants, Specialties, Value Chain and Optimization, and Risk organizations within the energy value chain.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level professional currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics/Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent field of study, or a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or MBA.
• Experience: Must be legally authorized to work in the job posting country with a graduation date prior to December 31, 2026, or May 31, 2027.
• Skills: Possess strong analytical capability, business acumen, communication skills, innovative thinking, curiosity, an interest in trading, and a collaborative approach.
• Bonus: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, previous internship or co-op experience in a related industry, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
