Junior Sales Representative | The Embark Agency

The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-person role at The Embark Agency, located in Birmingham, AL. The Embark Agency is a brand growth agency that partners with established companies to deliver sales and marketing campaigns designed to connect brands directly with customers. This role is pivotal for supporting customer acquisition campaigns for telecommunications services, specifically focusing on fiber internet, mobile plans, and home connectivity solutions, through direct face-to-face sales interactions within retail environments and at live promotional events.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engage Customers Directly: Initiate friendly conversations and engage with customers face-to-face at various retail locations and live promotional events throughout the Birmingham area.
• Educate and Guide: Introduce customers to a range of featured telecommunications products, services, and special event promotions, providing clear explanations of product features, available service options, and current promotional offers, while also answering questions and guiding them to choose options that best fit their needs.
• Facilitate Sales and Registrations: Aid customers with purchases, new service registrations, or sign-ups for telecommunications solutions, efficiently utilizing digital tablets when required to complete all necessary transactions.
• Monitor and Report Performance: Accurately track and document personal sales activity on a daily basis, including the number of customer interactions, qualified leads generated, and all completed sales conversions.
• Participate in Professional Development: Actively attend daily team briefings that cover essential product knowledge, strategies for effective communication, and receive ongoing sales coaching from experienced leaders to continuously refine skills.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An early career professional who is comfortable speaking with new people in diverse face-to-face environments and possesses a strong desire to develop long-term professional skills in sales and business.
• Experience: Prior experience in customer-facing roles such as retail, hospitality, or customer service is required for building initial rapport and understanding customer needs. Previous direct sales experience is helpful but not mandatory, as comprehensive structured training is provided.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with new customers. A demonstrable enjoyment for working towards and achieving measurable sales goals and targets.
• Bonus: An eagerness to develop expertise in sales strategy, negotiation, and customer engagement, with an interest in career progression opportunities into team leadership and sales management through ongoing mentorship and development programs.
