The Tone:
This is a full-time role at a leading AI-focused venture capital firm, located in Palo Alto, USA. This firm is at the forefront of investing in groundbreaking artificial intelligence and robotics startups. As the inaugural Junior Analyst, this position offers a unique opportunity to directly shape the firm’s investment strategy and contribute to the growth of future category-defining companies. You will work closely with a General Partner who has a proven track record in backing category-defining AI companies.

• Mission: Drive deal flow by sourcing breakout AI and robotics startups and supporting portfolio companies from early stages.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Sourcing: Build and manage a proprietary sourcing process to identify high-potential AI and robotics startups.
• Due Diligence: Conduct deep-dive research and due diligence to develop investment conviction on emerging technology sectors.
• Meetings: Sit in on founder meetings to contribute to the development of investment conviction.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with the investment team to draft memos for potential investments.
• Support: Support portfolio companies with customer introductions, hiring strategies, and go-to-market strategies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Holds a degree from a top-tier university, demonstrating strong academic foundations.
• Experience: Possesses 1–2 years of experience in high-intensity environments, or equivalent relevant professional exposure.
• Skills: Demonstrates intense curiosity and an obsession with the evolving AI, robotics, and technology landscape.
• Skills: Exhibits an entrepreneurial drive to find opportunities early and resourcefulness to operate without constant direction.
