Junior Graphic Designer | Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spas

The Tone:
This is an early career role at Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spas, located in an office environment. Hand & Stone is the fastest-growing massage and facial franchise in the United States, providing quality, affordable membership-based services. This role is crucial for developing and executing visual materials that bring the brand to life, ensuring all assets align with brand standards and clearly communicate the company’s mission and values.

The TL;DR

• Team: Creative and Marketing teams, reporting to the Creative Manager.
• Mission: This person assists in producing visually engaging content, maintaining brand consistency, and supporting day-to-day creative needs across the organization.
• Tech Stack: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Express), Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint), email CMS platforms (drag-and-drop editors), After Effects, Premiere, Adobe Express, Figma, Adobe XD, SharePoint, OneDrive, Dropbox, DAM, MAM.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintain Brand Identity: Uphold Hand & Stone’s visual brand across all materials, ensuring consistency with established standards and guidelines.
• Produce Visual Assets: Create high-quality digital and print assets, including presentations, social graphics, and video content.
• Prepare Production Files: Develop accurate, production-ready files with meticulous attention to layout, typography, and visual clarity.
• Facilitate Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Training, and Operations teams to deliver effective visual solutions for project goals.
• Support Design Evolution: Adapt existing designs for multiple platforms and audiences while maintaining brand integrity, and contribute ideas to creative discussions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: 2+ years of professional or internship experience in graphic design, with a required portfolio demonstrating strong fundamentals in layout, typography, and brand application.
• Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Express); basic motion graphics or video editing experience (e.g., After Effects, Premiere); strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines; clear communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Bonus: Familiarity with digital design tools like Figma or Adobe XD, and experience with project management platforms and file-sharing tools (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive, Dropbox, DAM, MAM).
