Junior Geospatial Analyst at DecisionPoint Corporation

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Junior Geospatial Analyst to provide mission-essential geospatial intelligence operations support to the United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) J2 Intelligence Directorate. This role is focused on the analysis and visualization of potential adversaries’ strategic weapons capabilities. The position is located onsite at Offutt AFB.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Government in developing a comprehensive understanding of potential adversary’s strategic weapons through spatial analysis and support.
  • Provide cartographic and spatial analytic support to USSTRATCOM J2, utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) expertise to identify, analyze, and spatially depict intelligence issues.
  • Assist with the analysis of area limitation and mobility models related to potential adversary’s military weapon systems, demonstrating knowledge of influential factors within this problem set.
  • Utilize ArcGIS Enterprise for producing web maps and web mapping applications.
  • Employ adapters in ArcGIS GeoEvent Processor to process DoD informational feeds for integration into a situational awareness tracker and geospatial analysis dashboard.
  • Advise and assist the Government on best practices for information sharing to support day-to-day operations, crisis response, and exercises, with a focus on enhancing the tracker and dashboard through application improvement and maintenance.
  • Assist in designing the digital production environment and advising on business process and information flow improvement, including automating the collection, organization, dissemination, and archival of J2 products for all J2 web presences.
  • Support J23 map/chart requirements management, including employing Geodatabases and Python scripts to manage requirements and the production of standard aeronautical, topographic, and hydrographic products and data by external Combat Support Agencies.
  • Use ArcGIS Enterprise software to develop databases, create custom maps, charts, and graphics, and leverage capabilities of Combat Support Agencies and other DoD visualization systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph or the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.
  • Experience/Education: At least three (3) years of demonstrated relevant experience with or education in geospatial sciences performing spatial analysis. Acceptable education includes a bachelor’s degree or higher in Geospatial Sciences, Geography, Remote Sensing, or Geospatial Intelligence; or another bachelor’s degree or higher with a concentration in Geographic Information Systems (or Science).
  • Software Proficiency: Three (3) years’ proficiency with Environmental Systems Research Institute’s ArcGIS Enterprise software and knowledge of Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards.
  • Database & Programming: Three (3) years of experience with relational database management and three (3) years’ programming in Python scripting language.
  • Modeling Expertise: Three (3) years of experience performing area limitation and mobility modeling (time/distance/likelihood) spatial analysis pertaining to adversary’s military weapon systems movement, with demonstrated knowledge of influential factors.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Three (3) years’ experience in the use of ArcGIS Enterprise to produce web maps and web mapping applications.
  • Knowledge of employing adapters in the ArcGIS GeoEvent Processor to process geospatial feeds for incorporation into a Common Intelligence Picture (CIP).
  • Current Security+ certification.
