Junior Front Office Support Analyst – Equity Derivatives | Talan

This position is crucial for maintaining the health and stability of core trading applications, directly supporting a major bank’s Equity Derivatives trading floor environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Monitor: Proactively monitor core trading applications and infrastructure for optimal performance.
• Alert: Set up, fine-tune, and respond to system alerts to ensure maximum application uptime.
• Triage: Act as the first line of defense for application issues, performing initial triage and troubleshooting.
• Escalate: Escalate complex functional or technical bugs to appropriate teams as needed.
• Assist: Provide day-to-day support to front-office users with routine queries, application access, and system health checks.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. This position is designed for a tech-savvy individual looking to enter the financial sector, with no prior finance experience required as training on the business side will be provided.
• Experience: Requires strong foundational knowledge of Unix / Linux environments, including command line navigation and file manipulation. Scripting capabilities in Python (or Shell/Bash) are also necessary for basic task automation and log parsing.
