What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Diverse accounting schedules, including those for doubtful accounts reserves, employee bonuses, depreciation, amortization, and variable compensation for sales staff, ensuring accuracy for financial reporting.
• Support: Essential recurring finance functions such as payroll processing, insurance management, timely financial filings, audit preparations, efficient month-end close procedures, and accounts payable management.
• Assist: With critical financial planning activities, including the preparation of budgets, forecasts, managing the cap table, and supporting equity management processes, often under guidance from senior staff.
• Provide: Comprehensive administrative and operational support to the CEO, COO, Financial Controller, and Head of Finance, including preparing for board meetings and managing related confidential documentation.
• Identify: And actively implement workflow and operational improvements across finance and accounting processes, alongside performing various ad hoc operational and accounting tasks as needed to support company growth.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a closely related field is required, indicating foundational knowledge for this early career role.
• Experience: Candidates must have 1–2 years of practical experience in junior finance or accounting positions, coupled with a basic but solid understanding of core accounting principles and concepts. Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets is essential for data management and analysis.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse teams, operate autonomously, and take initiative is critical. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and multitasking skills, exhibit a proactive and resourceful approach, remain calm under pressure, and maintain an analytical, data-driven mindset.
• Bonus: Previous experience utilizing Ramp or other payroll platforms will be considered helpful but is not a mandatory requirement for this position.
