Key Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities:

  • Engage in extensive, structured sales training sessions designed to equip you with fundamental and advanced skills, including:
    • Mastering strategic pre-call planning and preparation.
    • Conducting thorough market and client analysis.
    • Developing compelling and effective presentation preparation techniques.
  • Actively participate in weekly prospecting sessions to identify and cultivate potential new clients, contributing directly to lead generation efforts.
  • Gain direct client interaction experience by efficiently managing inbound phone calls from companies expressing interest in the Paycom solution.
  • Develop critical administrative and sales support skills by creating accurate quotes using our proprietary database for incoming leads from potential clients.
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive and dynamic team environment. You will closely observe and assist your office sales manager, intern program manager, and a team of experienced sales representatives, gaining a holistic understanding of a deal through its entire sales cycle.
  • Maintain meticulous records by tracking all prospecting activities, leads, meetings, and daily tasks, fostering strong organizational habits and proficiency with CRM tools.

  • Be prepared for necessary travel to the local Paycom sales office and surrounding areas for in-person sales meetings. Reliable transportation is a mandatory requirement for this aspect of the role.
