About The Role: Junior Electronics Engineer

We are actively seeking a Junior Electronics Engineer with a strong passion for power electronics and general analog/digital circuit development. This pivotal role involves supporting the simulation, design, testing, and validation of our cutting-edge products. As a member of the Electronics Team, you will work collaboratively under the guidance of a Hardware Technical Lead at our Liberty Lake, WA office.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with technicians to build and operate power electronics test benches effectively.
  • Execute comprehensive functional, performance, and stress testing on motor drives and various other power electronics products.
  • Perform precise laboratory measurements to validate electronics designs and their performance.
  • Provide support to design engineers during the review process of schematics, PCB layouts, and component selection.
  • Design a variety of electronic circuits specifically for Infinitum products.
  • Take charge of component selection, manage part libraries, and oversee the layout and design of PCBs.
  • Work in close conjunction with firmware engineers to design robust hardware, deploy firmware efficiently, and thoroughly test electronics functionality.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience with Altium Designer for schematic and PCB layout.
  • Demonstrated coursework or practical experience in power electronics.
  • Fundamental knowledge of basic power electronic converters.
  • Strong capability to accurately read and interpret schematics and datasheets.
  • Practical experience using essential lab equipment.
  • A solid understanding of electrical safety protocols, especially for high-voltage systems.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of embedded C programming for microcontrollers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with motor drives in a laboratory setting.
  • Knowledge of motor drive control theory.
  • Laboratory experience with low-voltage power systems.
  • 1-2 years of professional experience specifically with PCB design in Altium.
  • Simulation experience with power converters.
  • Experience with NI LabVIEW.
