Junior Consultant | Clearwater
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Clearwater. Clearwater provides cybersecurity advisory services, with a particular emphasis on the healthcare sector. This role is crucial for developing foundational experience in cybersecurity consulting, allowing individuals to actively contribute to diverse client engagements and foster positive client outcomes while building technical capabilities and industry knowledge.

• Tech Stack: AI, generative AI, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, HIPAA Security Rule, HITRUST CSF, EHR/EMR systems.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Support: Serve as a junior resource across multiple concurrent or sequential client engagements, working under senior direction.
• Technical Analysis: Assist with risk assessments, gap analyses, and vulnerability evaluations for client engagements.
• Documentation & Reporting: Gather evidence, conduct research, and draft sections of client deliverables, reports, policies, and procedures for senior review.
• Client Communication: Help prepare presentations and communicate findings to client stakeholders in a professional manner.
• Tool Application: Apply AI and generative AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate research, documentation, and analysis, upholding quality and confidentiality.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), completed within the past 12 months. Foundational knowledge across core cybersecurity domains such as risk management, compliance, and network security.
• Experience: Familiarity with at least one major security framework (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, HIPAA Security Rule).
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, high degree of adaptability, ability to learn quickly, comfort using AI tools with good judgment, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
• Bonus: Internship, co-op, or part-time experience in cybersecurity, IT, audit, compliance, or a related client-facing role; exposure to the healthcare industry or HIPAA/HITECH requirements; participation in cybersecurity clubs or hackathons; eligibility to obtain an entry-level industry certification within the first 6–12 months of employment.
