Junior Accountant | TCWGlobal

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at TCWGlobal, located onsite in Beverly Hills, CA. The company is seeking a Junior Accountant to join its Accounting & Finance team, supporting a growing real estate investment company. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an accountant with 1-5 years of experience to learn, grow, and take on additional responsibilities, building their career in real estate accounting. The ideal candidate is positive, motivated, and eager to contribute to the team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Accurate journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
• Support: The timely completion of monthly and quarterly financial close processes.
• Perform: Comprehensive bank and intercompany reconciliations for various entities.
• Assist: With accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense processing.
• Maintain: Accurate financial records and supporting documentation across all accounting activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of GAAP and the full accounting cycle, with general accounting experience beyond just accounts payable clerk duties.
• Experience: This role requires 1-5 years of accounting experience; however, the company is open to candidates with slightly less or more experience for the right fit. Specific experience with journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, month-end close processes, and an accounting/ERP system is essential. Experience within real estate or a related corporate accounting environment (e.g., private equity or other investment firms) is also a key qualification.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication. A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and motivation to grow into additional responsibilities are also critical.
• Bonus: Candidates with real estate or property accounting experience are highly valued. Additional experience with private equity, investment firms, or other real estate-related companies, Sage Intacct, multi-entity accounting, acquisitions/dispositions, investor accounting, or distributions, and Juniper Square or similar platforms will be a significant advantage.
