Junior Accountant / Controller | Therapy Tree

The Tone:
This is an in-person, 32-hour-per-week role at Therapy Tree, located in Phoenix, AZ near Deer Valley Airport. Therapy Tree is a growing business dedicated to transforming the lives of children and their families through compassionate, high-quality pediatric therapy services. This role supports the company’s finance and accounting operations, offering hands-on experience and direct mentorship to build a solid foundation in accounting within a supportive and collaborative environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage General Ledger: Assist with general ledger entries, routine reconciliations, and account balancing.
• Administer Accounts Payable: Process and track vendor invoices, manage payment schedules, and maintain AP records.
• Maintain Financial Software: Ensure clean and accurate financial data using QuickBooks.
• Support Month-End Close: Aid in month-end closing processes and reporting.
• Perform Daily Bookkeeping: Handle routine bookkeeping and administrative accounting tasks as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level professional with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (with relevant accounting coursework).
• Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience in an entry-level accounting or bookkeeping role.
• Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, a strong eye for accuracy, comfort with numbers, and an ability to follow structured processes.
• Bonus: Prior experience with QuickBooks.
