Junior Accountant – Trophy Signature Homes | Green Brick Partners, Inc.

• Mission: Owns the preparation of timely and accurate accounting records, including journal and AP entries, ensuring financial integrity for the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Record Financial Transactions: Prepare and post various journal entries, including recurring, non-recurring, closing, remote check deposits, and customer wire deposits.
• Maintain Financial Accuracy: Daily reconcile bank statements for all Trophy divisions and ensure proper tracking and payments for HOA and property taxes.
• Process Invoices and Payments: Code and process corporate credit cards, code invoices, ensure proper approvals, and correspond with vendors to resolve payment issues.
• Resolve Accounting Discrepancies: Research, track, and resolve accounting-related problems such as outstanding checks, statement reconciliation issues, and duplicate invoices.
• Support Accounting Operations: Assist in the monthly close process, help with vendor setups, support audit activities, and assist Accounting Leadership with various projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with a High School Diploma, focusing on accounting principles.
• Experience: 1-2 years of accounting or administrative experience, specifically with computer skills and Microsoft Excel.
• Skills: Ability to meet multiple deadlines, highly analytical thinking, critical problem-solving skills, good written and oral communication, and strong organizational abilities.
• Bonus: An Accounting degree is preferred.
