Junior Accountant | AD Mortgage

• Mission: To support daily accounting activities, cash management, and financial operations to maintain accurate financial records within the mortgage servicing industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Daily Servicing: Manage daily accounting activities related to servicing, including payment research, necessary corrections, and accurate cash application.
• Transaction Processing: Process various financial transactions such as returned ACH transactions, checks, borrower refunds, and escrow disbursements.
• Payment Monitoring: Initiate and closely monitor borrower-related wire transactions, actively following up on NSF or rejected payments to resolve issues.
• Reconciliation and Resolution: Perform thorough bank and cash reconciliations, promptly identifying and resolving any discrepancies discovered.
• Financial Support: Support investor remittance accounting, assist with audit requests, and ensure the consistent maintenance of accurate financial records.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. A strong understanding of core accounting principles and financial reporting is required for this role.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of accounting experience is required, specifically including experience with account reconciliations and cash management activities.
• Skills: Demonstrated excellent analytical abilities, strong problem-solving capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
