What You’ll Actually Do
• Record Financial Transactions: Accurately record journal entries, maintain general ledgers, and reconcile bank and account statements.
• Manage Accounts: Prepare invoices and process both accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently.
• Support Closing Cycles: Assist with critical month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Produce Financial Reports: Help compile accurate financial reports and verify financial data for precision.
• Ensure Compliance & Efficiency: Collaborate with property and operations teams to maintain timely, compliant financial documentation, organize financial records, and support accounting process improvements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. This is an early career role with a focus on strong foundational accounting skills.
• Experience: Proficiency with accounting software (Yardi) and MS Excel (including spreadsheets, formulas, and basic data analysis). Relevant internships or entry-level experience in accounting are a plus.
• Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and clear written and verbal communication. Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment is essential.
• Bonus: An interest in or exposure to real estate accounting or property management. A strong commitment to ethical financial practices, confidentiality, and continuous learning in the accounting profession.
