Junior Accountant | AD Mortgage LLC
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at AD Mortgage LLC, located in Fort Lauderdale HQ. AD Mortgage is a broker-voted Top 5 U.S. wholesale lender, with 20 years in the industry, offering a full range of loan programs including Non-QM, DSCR, Bank Statement, FHA, and Conventional loans. This Junior Accountant position is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to build their career and contribute to the Finance team by gaining hands-on experience in essential financial operations. The role is critical for maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash, and supporting payment processing within the mortgage servicing industry.

• Mission: Ensure accurate financial records and timely processing of daily servicing accounting activities, cash transactions, and reconciliations to support robust financial operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Handle daily servicing accounting activities, including conducting payment research, executing necessary corrections, and applying cash entries accurately.
• Process: Complete the processing of returned ACH transactions, physical checks, borrower refunds, and various escrow disbursements.
• Initiate: Begin and meticulously monitor borrower-related wire transactions, actively following up on any NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds) or rejected payments.
• Perform: Conduct thorough bank and cash reconciliations, taking responsibility for identifying and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support: Assist with investor remittance accounting, fulfill audit requests, and contribute to the maintenance of accurate and comprehensive financial records.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Possesses a strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and financial reporting concepts.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience is required, specifically with a background in account reconciliations and cash management activities.
• Skills: Demonstrates excellent analytical abilities, strong problem-solving capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
