The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Sundayy, located in Asbury Park, NJ, with hybrid work arrangements. Sundayy is a leading commercial rooftop solar developer dedicated to expanding clean energy generation across the United States. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial data, directly supporting its rapid growth and strategic objectives in the renewable energy sector. The Jr. Accountant will contribute significantly to financial operations and compliance within a team of intelligent, grounded professionals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare and record month-end journal entries and other required adjustments.
• Compile and analyze account information to prepare accurate financial data.
• Review and reconcile monthly transactions and account balances.
• Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Support external audit processes by preparing work papers and relevant documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university; early career level.
• Experience: 1+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with exposure to real estate or solar energy project fund accounting.
• Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Bonus: Experience with Microsoft BusinessCentral or Dynamics 365.
