The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Solar Turbines, located in San Diego, CA. What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist in quality assurance activities and provide essential customer support for various IT systems, ensuring smooth operations for users.
• Develop: Contribute to the development and enhancement of software, leveraging your skills to build and improve critical applications.
• Manage: Engage in project management tasks within Information Technology Solutions (ITS) initiatives, supporting the successful delivery of technology projects.
• Administer: Perform system administration duties, helping to maintain and optimize the performance and reliability of IT infrastructure.
• Learn: Interface closely with critical support and business roles across departments to develop a comprehensive understanding of the technology life cycle and how IT effectively supports core business operations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An entry-level intern currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technology-related field from an accredited school.
• Experience: Possess 0-3 years of related experience, which must include previous internships and/or relevant project experience within a technology-focused domain.
• Skills: Maintain a current overall GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale, and demonstrate the ability and willingness to relocate to San Diego, CA for the entire duration of the internship.
• Bonus: Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate good business and technical judgment, and possess the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while working in a cross-functional team environment.
