Job Description
AI Platform Engagement Manager | Allianz
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Allianz Technology, which operates the AI Factory as a central unit for building and deploying AI-powered solutions across the Allianz Group. The AI Factory runs critical initiatives and provides a shared AI platform ecosystem. This role is crucial for engaging Operating Entities (OEs) within the AI ecosystem landscape, providing platform-related advisory for their AI-native solutions. The AI Platform Engagement Manager acts as the primary interface between the AI Factory Ecosystem team and the OEs, guiding them through the onboarding process for the central AI platform from initial scoping to production, ensuring successful adoption and utilization of AI capabilities.
The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: Hybrid – Location not specified
• Team: AI Engagement team, part of the AI Factory Ecosystem team
• Mission: To steer and consult Allianz Operating Entities for the onboarding of agentic and AI-native solutions to the central AI platform, shaping the process from functional, architectural, and systemic perspectives until production.
• Tech Stack: AI technologies, GenAI platforms
What You’ll Actually Do
• Squad Formation: Form a collaborative squad with platform teams, use case delivery teams, and local IT or global vertical people for each OE engagement.
• Demand Shaping: Shape and execute Operating Entity (OE) demand by making AI Factory platform capabilities visible early, matching reusable building blocks against OE pain points, and securing funding for platform engagement.
• Engagement Steering: Steer multiple engagements in parallel across their full lifecycle, transferring patterns, framings, and lessons learned to continuously improve subsequent engagements.
• Scope Management: Cut scope where it doesn’t add value, validate assumptions quickly, and adjust the course as the work progresses to ensure efficient delivery.
• Relationship Ownership: Own the build-to-deploy handover to global service or local IT teams, and maintain the OE relationship for platform-related aspects after go-live, preparing structured communications and decision papers for senior stakeholders.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A degree in business, management, technology, or a related field, with experience steering delivery or programs in a larger organization; senior enough for OE leadership and Head of IT conversations; technical enough to follow the build and cut scope honestly.
• Experience: Experience translating business problems into delivered software, ideally in insurance or another regulated environment; background in IT architecture, IT operations, IT deployments, and AI-related platform components.
• Skills: Strong stakeholder, business-framing, and roadmap-shaping skills; ability to prepare clear decision materials for executive audiences; an entrepreneurial mindset comfortable taking ownership and driving topics forward in a build-up environment.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Allianz Group and Allianz Technology; familiarity with AI technologies and GenAI platforms.
