This is an internship at SoLa Impact, located in Los Angeles, CA. SoLa Impact is an award-winning social impact, development, and investment company dedicated to creating high-quality affordable housing and fostering socioeconomic change across Southern California. This role is crucial for powering the technology systems that support the company’s real estate, venture, and community initiatives, offering hands-on experience with modern IT tools and emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence. The intern will help maintain essential IT infrastructure that drives the organization’s mission of creating opportunities and hope for a better future.

• Mission: This person supports SoLa Impact’s core technology infrastructure, provides essential IT assistance, and explores innovative applications of AI and automation to enhance operational efficiency and advance the company’s social impact goals.
• Tech Stack: Operating systems (Windows, macOS), audiovisual equipment and systems.
What You’ll Actually Do
• User Technical Assistance: Provide critical IT support and troubleshooting for staff across hardware, software, and network issues.
• System Installation and Maintenance: Assist with the installation and ongoing maintenance of IT and audiovisual systems.
• Technology Innovation: Research and explore practical applications for how AI and automation can improve internal workflows.
• Asset Management: Help maintain detailed inventory and comprehensive documentation of IT and audiovisual equipment.
• Operational Setup and Onboarding: Support system setup, device deployment, and user onboarding processes for new team members.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, AI Technology, or a closely related technical field.
• Experience: Possesses a basic understanding of common operating systems, including Windows and macOS.
• Skills: Demonstrates a strong interest in IT, audiovisual technology, and multimedia systems, combined with excellent communication abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Bonus: Familiarity with audiovisual equipment and systems is considered a plus, as is any previous internship or project experience within the IT domain.
