IT Internship at Humana
Humana’s IT Internship program offers a comprehensive understanding of the IT landscape within a leading healthcare organization. Interns focus on a variety of projects and tasks, gaining practical experience in areas including:
• Project Management
• Agile Methodologies
• Software Engineering
• Cloud Engineering
• Data Science/Analytics/Visualization
• User Experience (UI/UX)
• Machine Learning
• Cyber Security Initiatives
The program is primarily hosted in-person at Humana’s Headquarters in Louisville, KY, offering a rich experience of Humana’s corporate culture and direct mentorship from industry leaders. Remote opportunities are also available based on individual circumstances.
The IT Intern will act as an apprentice:
• Interpreting area/department policies and methods for completing assignments.
• Working within defined parameters to meet work expectations and quality standards.
• Having some latitude over prioritization/timing of tasks.
• Working under minimal direction.
• Following standard policies/practices with some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and independent discretion.
