About the Job: IR Saxonburg Team Intern

The IR Saxonburg team is seeking an intern with experience in software design, coding, and debugging. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to manufacturing improvements in areas such as manufacturing automation/monitoring, contemporary application development for manufacturing processes, and augmented/mixed reality application development.

As an intern, you will gain real-world software engineering experience at a thriving company, along with valuable training in project management and execution skills, which will be instrumental in your future career. Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with the manufacturing and automation initiatives and challenges across the site, and collaboratively identify project opportunities best aligned to your skills.
  • Research methods to execute on projects and propose solutions, including recommendations on the path forward.
  • Develop, trial, and implement pilot programs and/or deployments to manufacturing.
  • Present findings or results with recommended paths forward.

Requirements

  • Major in Computer Science/Network Engineering, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Ability to work creatively in multi-disciplinary teams and strive for innovative solutions.
  • Experience programming in some combination of C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, LabView, and/or Unity is a must.
  • SQL or database experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and mathematics skills are a major plus.
  • Citizen or permanent resident.

Working Conditions

This role will be based on-site in [Insert work location]. Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings.
  • Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
  • Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
