Investment Trade Operations Analyst | Daley And Associates, LLC

The Tone:
This is a temporary contract role at a global asset management company, located in Downtown Boston, MA. The company is seeking candidates for multiple opportunities to support critical back office operations. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of mutual fund investment and trading activities, directly contributing to the integrity of client portfolios.

• Mission: Research, process, and reconcile investment and trading activities to support mutual fund operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Trade Resolution: Research and resolve trade discrepancies by interacting with brokers and custodian banks.
• Transaction Processing: Instruct trades, process cash transactions, and prepare wire transfers to fund investment activity.
• Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly asset and cash reconciliations, including settling trades and foreign exchanges.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare daily and monthly client reports, and analyze monthly portfolio asset reports.
• Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor cash flows, daily expenses, collateral holdings, and income receivables for client portfolios.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Finance). This is an entry-level role.
• Experience: Internship(s) and/or up to 1 year of experience in the financial services and/or asset management industries.
• Skills: Knowledge of MS Office applications and spreadsheet proficiency; ability to research portfolio discrepancies using Bloomberg; strong teamwork and focus on meeting strict timeframes.
