Job Description: Investment Intern

This internship is designed to give college students real-world business experience in the field of investment. It offers a variety of challenging assignments in a stimulating work environment, along with a personal mentor and access to educational, social, and community service events.

Who should apply?

• College students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a four-year degree or master’s degree program full-time.
• Four-year degree students should be completing sophomore, junior, or senior year (graduating in spring 2025 thru spring 2027).
• A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 is highly preferred.

About the Internship:

Duration: Monday, May 12th or Monday, May 19th, 2025 – Friday, August 8th, 2025
Location: Corporate Office in Erie, PA
hourly Rate: $18.80/hour
Relocation assistance: May be available to those who qualify

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth fundamental research and investment analysis: Use state-of-the-art technology platforms and work one-on-one with portfolio managers to implement investment decisions.
Collaborate with Erie Insurance investment analysts and external investment professionals: Gain knowledge of industries/sectors to develop high-level investment strategies.
Gain a deeper understanding of ERIE’s investment philosophy and asset allocation strategy: Receive exposure to multiple investment asset classes.
Receive personalized mentoring from experienced investment professionals: This assists with the intern’s investment career development.

Qualifications:

Minimum Educational Requirements: High school diploma, or equivalent, required. Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree with completion of sophomore year in a relevant field required.
Additional Experience: Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software preferred.
