About the Investment Counselor – Wealthbuilder Role at Fisher Investments

Do you possess a passion for helping others and an interest in developing a career assisting clients in reaching their long-term financial goals? Fisher Investments is actively seeking to cultivate its next generation of Investments Counselors through the Investment Counselor – Wealthbuilder role.

The Opportunity

The Investment Counselor – Wealthbuilder opportunity is specifically designed to prepare qualified candidates for a fulfilling, lifelong career in the financial services industry. Through our specialized training programs, Fisher Investments provides an elevated finance and capital markets education, building a strong foundation and understanding of our unique investment approach.

Your journey will commence with obtaining the Series 65 license, during which you will receive comprehensive, hands-on training from our dedicated training team. Once licensed, the learning continues! You will work directly with your assigned mentor to further develop an understanding of the technology and platforms we utilize, and crucially, how we effectively service our clients.

This role serves as an excellent jumping-off point into a licensed service role within our Private Client Group. As you progress and achieve important milestones within your first two years, opportunities for additional responsibilities will expand significantly. This includes the potential to advance to our prestigious Premier Wealth Management team, where you will manage your own roster of high-net-worth clients.

The Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively within your team, contributing to client service at a team level, and acting as the essential liaison between our Investment Policy Committee (IPC) and our US clients.
  • Connect with clients to diligently review their asset allocation, ensuring it remains aligned with their long-term financial goals.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with our clients, educating them on our top-down portfolio strategy, their specific investments, and important market events.
  • Respond to and manage client communication, while also working directly with various internal departments to efficiently fulfill client operational requests.

Your Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in an Operational, Administrative, Client-Facing, or Finance setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Required to pass the Series 65 license (we provide robust training and support once you start).
  • Demonstrate a thoughtful, consultative approach with a strong emphasis on client focus.

Why Fisher Investments?

At Fisher Investments, we work for a bigger purpose: bettering the investment universe. We take immense pride in our inclusive culture, our learning and development framework customized for every employee, and our Great Place to Work Certification. It’s the people who make the Fisher purpose possible, and we invest in them by offering exceptional benefits, including:

  • 100% paid medical, dental, and vision premiums for you and your qualifying dependents.
  • A 50% 401(k) match, up to the IRS maximum.
  • 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO), plus 10 paid holidays.
  • Family Support programs including 8 weeks Paid Primary Caregiver Leave, $10,000 fertility, family forming, and hormonal health assistance, and back-up child, adult, and elder care.
  • This is an in-office role. Based on your role, tenure, and performance eligibility, you may have the opportunity to participate in our hybrid work-from-home program. Please note, this program is subject to change.
